Proudly San Antonio Built

The Artisan Difference

Robert and Eligh of Concrete Cowboys Construction Services are two San Antonio originals whose decades of combined experience show in every corner, joint, and finish. They are local craftsmen with decades of experience who treat every home as a reflection of their own standards, not a quarterly delivery target. While corporate builders optimize for speed and uniformity, Robert and Eligh optimize for quality and craft. The result is a home where the details were considered, the materials were chosen with care, and someone who takes genuine pride in their work signed off on every phase of construction. . The level of attention to detail, the unwillingness to cut corners, and the pride of craftsmanship baked into this home simply aren't available on a corporate builder's price sheet. When you buy a Concrete Cowboys home, you're buying the real thing.

Differentiators

Explanation of intentionally designed home cooling

Engineered Air, Spray Foam Roofline

Most homes treat the attic as an afterthought — hot, leaky, and uninsulated, just a place to hide the ductwork. Not this one. 106 Field Crest uses open-cell spray foam roof insulation to bring the attic inside the conditioned envelope, so HVAC equipment and ductwork run in sealed, climate-controlled space instead of baking in triple-digit heat. Sealing a home tightly creates a new challenge: moisture and stale air have nowhere to go on their own. So we engineered dual dehumidification systems (AprilAire E080W) alongside a dedicated AprilAire 8100 ERV for continuous fresh-air exchange — eliminating CO2 buildup and improving indoor air quality by design, not by accident. And it's all working together. Cooling, heating, dehumidification, and fresh-air ventilation are integrated into one intelligent system via a Honeywell T10+ Pro, monitored by smart sensors in every room. Time-of-day programming and motion-sensing logic let the home respond to how it's actually being used — climate control that thinks room by room. This isn't a home with good HVAC. It's a home where the building envelope and mechanical system were engineered together, from the roofline down.

Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water

Your family's health and convenience were top priorities during construction, which is why this home comes pre-plumbed for a premium reverse osmosis water filtration system. The builders installed the necessary plumbing infrastructure beneath the kitchen sink, positioning you to easily add the RO system of your choice that removes harmful micro-plastics, heavy metals, and other contaminants that increasingly concern health-conscious homeowners. Going beyond the basics, a dedicated water line runs from the filtration point directly to your refrigerator's water supply, ensuring that every glass of water from your dispenser and every ice cube comes from the same purified source. This comprehensive approach means you won't just have clean drinking water at the sink—your entire family will enjoy pure, filtered water throughout the kitchen. It's this kind of forward-thinking detail that transforms a house into a home designed for modern, healthy living.

Tesla Wall Charger

Tesla-Compatible Wiring for EV Charging

Most builders install the City of San Antonio code-required 240V 40 amp circuit. This minimum requirement does not support charging a Tesla at its full 48 amp potential. We drive EVs so we know about issues such as those outlined at https://www.seahurst.com/nema-14-50-tesla/. We provide a beefed-up Hubbell EV-specific outlet that is designed to handle the heavy loads involved when charging an EV. We also ensure the wiring is "Tesla Wall Connector-ready" using 6 AWG SER wire rated for 65 amps at 75 degrees. This means converting to a hard-wired Tesla Wall Connector supporting its full charging capacity is as simple as changing the breaker, removing the outlet and hardwiring the Wall Connector.

"The maximum charge rate for a Model S on a NEMA 14-50 outlet is 23 miles of charge per hour. The Wall Connector on a 60amp circuit will give you 34 miles of charge per hour, so 50% faster charging"

An Upstairs Floor You Can Feel

Most production builders install the minimum code-required subfloor — typically 5/8" OSB — and call it done. At 106 Field Crest, we went a different direction. The entire upper level is sheathed with 1-1/8" AdvanTech® engineered subfloor panels — nearly double the code minimum thickness and a product in an entirely different class from the commodity OSB you'll find in most new homes. The moment you walk upstairs, you feel the difference. There's a solidity underfoot — a quiet, vault-like firmness — that tells you this floor was built to last decades, not just pass inspection. AdvanTech is engineered with a proprietary resin-infused core that dramatically outperforms standard OSB in moisture resistance, nail-holding strength, and long-term structural integrity. That means no squeaks, no flex, no soft spots — just a floor system that performs as well in year twenty as it does on move-in day. It's one of those details you'll never see but will always feel.

GFCI Outlets at Every Toilet

We put a GFCI outlet behind every toilet. Why? Because a bidet isn't a luxury anymore — it's a preference, and preferences shouldn't require an electrician. Every bathroom in this home is bidet-ready from day one, whether you're installing a $30 seat attachment or a $2,000 Japanese throne with a heated seat, night light, and ambient music. And if you've never experienced a warm bidet cleansing before, you are in for a treat — and quite possibly a life-changing moment you'll want to tell your friends about (but probably won't).

20A Dedicated Circuit

Two 20A Dedicated Outlets at Flex/Office

Here's a detail most builders would never bother telling you: when we walked the flex-space office during framing, we hit a genuine debate with our electrician over which wall should get the dedicated 20-amp outlet. Instead of picking a side, we picked both. This room now has two fully independent dedicated 20-amp circuits — one on each wall — plus the room's standard circuit, for three total lines of power at your disposal. Was it the cheapest choice? No. Was it the right one? Absolutely. Run your laser printer, charge a small device fleet, power a document scanner, and keep auxiliary equipment humming — all without a single breaker so much as flinching. While standard 15-amp circuits force you to ration your loads like it's 1998, this room lets you plug in wherever inspiration strikes, no extension cords or musical-outlets required. No circuit sharing with other rooms, no mid-presentation blackouts, no choosing between the printer and the space heater. It's a small thing on paper. But it's exactly the kind of decision that happens when nobody on the team is willing to settle for "good enough" — even over an outlet.

Plumbing Features

Three features that don't photograph well but matter enormously. First, a pre-plumbed water softener loop — San Antonio water is hard on everything, and this home is ready for a softener the day you move in. Second, a whole-house water shutoff conveniently located so any adult in the home can cut the water supply in an emergency without hunting through a crawl space. Third, the tankless water heater means the sixth person in your household still gets a hot shower, which in our experience is what separates a happy family from a tense one. These aren't glamorous features, but they're the ones you'll appreciate every single day. You're welcome.

Exhaust Fan Timer Switches

Every bathroom exhaust fan is paired with a timer switch — because great ventilation shouldn't require remembering to flip a switch on your way out, and it shouldn't run until next Tuesday either. Set it, handle your business, and walk away knowing the atmosphere will be restored to its natural state right on schedule. Discretion, automation, and energy efficiency, all in one elegant little switch.

Frost-Resistant Hose Bibs

Why don't all builders use these? While San Antonio enjoys mild winters most years, hard freezes can strike 2-4 times annually — and when they do, standard hose bibs are at serious risk. Remember February 2021? A single freeze event caused millions in plumbing damage across Texas. When the next hard freeze hits, your home will be the one without burst pipes and water damage.

Alamo Quarry Market

106 Field Crest sits in a quiet, established pocket of Alamo Heights — just down New Braunfels Ave from Alamo Quarry Market, only about 7 minutes away. What's now one of San Antonio's favorite shopping and dining destinations was once a working cement quarry, and the property's roots still show: four historic smokestacks still rise over the site, a nod to the century-plus of history beneath the modern shops. Today the center spans dozens of stores and restaurants, a movie theater, and easy parking, giving your family plenty to do — from a quick grocery run to dinner and a movie — all within a few minutes of home.

The Pearl District

A ten-minute drive puts you at The Pearl, where San Antonio's young families gather for Saturday mornings done right. Picture this: kids running on the green while you browse the farmer's market with a locally-roasted coffee, loading up on fresh produce, artisan bread, and whatever the food trucks are slinging that week. The Pearl has that rare neighborhood energy where strollers and coffee shops coexist with chef-driven restaurants and live music, where you can grab tacos at the market, let the kids play in the splash pad, then hit up the Culinary Institute's demo kitchen or one of the indie boutiques. It's the kind of walkable, vibrant community space that makes you feel like you're part of something — without the parking nightmares and urban density of actually living there. Ten minutes gets you all the culture and farmer's market hauls your heart desires, then ten minutes back to your quiet neighborhood with an actual yard and garage. It's the best of both worlds!
